Student athletes across Long Island are using their talents on the court, out in the field, on the track and anywhere else sports are played to raise awareness and money to support children diagnosed with cancer. Through a unique program called “Play for Kids” student athletes at all grade levels can collect sponsorships and raise money to support The Miracle Foundation’s “Back in the Game” program. Back in the Game is a program that was developed to help kids recovering from cancer through an innovative 12 week conditioning program that helps them recover physically and mentally from the effects of their treatments. The focus is on having fun while regaining their strength and confidence in a group environment. Back in the Game program is provided at no cost for the participants, all money raised from the Play for Kids program will support and fund all kids interested in getting back in the game.
